The result is an unconventional exploration of desire with an older male figure as a creative muse and a frank female perspective on sexuality.

Q&A with Young Kim, partner of Malcolm McLaren and head of the Estate of Malcolm McLaren and Marc Glöde, curator of Art Basel Films, following the screening of McLaren’s “Paris, Capital of the XXIst Century” (2010). Malcolm McLaren’s final film is a collage of idealized images of Paris. Using French commercials from the past 100 years, McLaren examines the intersection of art and commodity. The result is a beautiful visual poem.
